Weather warnings in Finland – FMI warnings now for your place

See whether the Finnish Meteorological Institute has a weather warning for your place today or in the next few days: wind, traffic weather, pedestrian weather, heavy rain, severe thunderstorms, wildfire, cold, heat or UV. The map and list show the whole country and the sea areas for five days.

What do yellow, orange and red warnings mean?

The Finnish Meteorological Institute's warnings have three levels. Yellow means dangerous weather may occur, orange means dangerous weather and red very dangerous weather. A warning is issued for an area, which can be a region, a municipality or a sea area, and it is valid for a set time up to five days ahead. Source: Finnish Meteorological Institute open data.
